Material
The Arc’teryx Gamma Pant is made from a softshell fabric comprising 88% nylon and 12% elastane.
Weather Resistance
These pants have a DWR finish that repels light rain and snow.
Breathability
The air-permeable fabric lets moisture vapor escape for temp regulation.
Design and Fit
The pants have the signature Arcteryx gusseted crotch and articulated knees for mobility. The integrated adjustable waistband provides a secure fit, and the straight leg and cuffs will work with most boots. The cuffs have an integrated drawstring and lace hook grommets for a gaiter strap. Both features were designed to prevent snow and debris entering your pants and boots. The waistband is not fleecelined but still very comfortable to wear without chafing.
Pockets
These pants have two mesh-lined, zipped hand pockets and one large, zipped thigh pocket.
How I use
Hiking
The Gamma Pant is durable, weather-resistant, and comfortable, making it ideal for hiking. On cold hike days, I always reach for the Gamma Pant; on warmer days, I use the Gamma LW.
Travel
If I am on a flight, these pants are on. I love that I can zip the pocket and forget it.
