Arc’teryx Norvan LD3
Details
The Arc’teryx Norvan LD3 is very light and was designed to feel light on your feet and reduce fatigue during long runs. Its outsole is made of Vibram Megagrip rubber, which provides exceptional traction on every surface I threw at it. The shoe’s upper is TPU mesh that breathes and resists abrasions. The EVA midsole delivers shock absorption and responsive cushioning. It is supposed to offer a stable, supportive platform without feeling too soft.
It has a sock liner for comfort and support, which can be molded to the shape of your foot over time. This is supposed to minimize discomfort and reduce the chance of blisters. The Norvan LD 3 provides a proper fit with a snug heel and ample toe box, allowing your toes to move naturally. However, I need to lock my heel in with laces. It has a massive reinforced toe cap to protect your feet from rocks and roots. I find this feature helpful because I am constantly bouncing the front of my shoes on sharp rocks.
